Lisa Mitchell – Wah Ha (Seekae Remix)

Seekae is an Australian DJ and a talented one. We don’t hear that much from what’s going on on the other side of the world but recently something huge has been released and it managed to reach our side.
This thing is a remix of Wah Ha from Lisa Mitchell. It is a truly touching remix on so many levels. First the voice of Lisa and its sexyness is just pure pleasure to listen to. Then this slow chilling mecanic beats in the background is perfectly build. It starts slowly and grows up step by step, new effects coming up on and on.
But, the very astonishing part arrives around 1’30. The vocals are lost in a echoes whirl and the electronic sound comes up slowly with some 80’s computer beats. All of this grows up and explodes in a chilling mecanic melody. It’s pure genius, everything has a reason to be where it is and the sounds and effects were cleverly thought. We’re big fans of this remix! Thank you so much Seekae for this work!

Vance Joy – Riptide (Kasbo Remix)

I don’t think I knew Kasbo that much before, despite his numerous fans. Well, if there was a perfect for me to meet him that must be this way, with this astonishing remix of Riptide.
First of all, I loved Vance Joy at first sight and especially his Riptide song that was perfect to warm up, waiting for Summer on this year 2013. Then, FlicFlac arrived and released a remix of this song. To be honest I didn’t really like it. I guess that was the whistle part that bothered me the most. Anyway everything could have stayed like that until a few days ago.

Kasbo, a Swedish DJ, release this remix of Riptide. Oh holy mother of god.
I immediately fell in love with that song. Kasbo gives his very own interpretation of the song and doesn’t hesitate to take it out of the classic way. He’s taking risks and it pays off! It’s a whole new Riptide that you discover. The vocals are quite intact with almost the same rythm but the melody is way slower. An arty chill house sound that goes all along. The guitar can also be heard but in a reallly discreet way. It’s only there to remind us of the song. The parts grows and grows and explode in a powerful electronic chorus. There you see the true talent of Kasbo, the chorus is not even on the classic chorus part of the vocals. He managed to play with all the different parts of the song and use them in a different angle. It’s only in the end that you’ll be able to hear the real chorus but you didn’t even notice it wasn’t there. This remix is a true masterpiece. Congratulations!

NORDE – Every Single Night

Norde is not a personnal discovery. Someone recommended it me and I thank the guy who did it so much.
Listenning to a few of his/her track I felt like there was some real quality stuff there. However, when I looked at the stats, it striked me; how could it be possible that this artist got almost no playing time. Like if noone ever noticed this guy? I doubt it and blame it on a Soundcloud bug. But if there are any chances this could be true, I beg you to fix this problem by listenning to his work. And that’s how we got here.
First we have to precise Norde already released some original tracks by his/her own. Every Single Night is the one we chose. We loved the electro beats rythm and the lyrics. Sounds a bit romantic but with a punchy electro style that could slightly (really slightly) remind you some Kavinsky sound.
If you like this style you can also have a look at Touch Me which just follow the same atmosphere and signature. Although Touch Me might be a little more electro pushed.
So now, go ahead and push the play button!

Just Kiddin – Thinking About It (NEVA & David Pietras Remix)

Let’s keep on our Sunday Evening Blues playlist. This one is a freshy one. It’s light and melancholic as a happy full of pop Coldplay song. But it’s cooler.
The work of two people the Swedish David Pietras and the German NEVA. Don’t ask me who did what. We love that powerful piano rythmic. It’s punchy and explodes in the air in a thousands of colourful butterflies. The beats raise you up, you fly but still you’re a bit sad because the song wants you to remember your good old times. In the same time, you think “Fuck off” because you just want to go ahead and play with the butterflies. Yep, we’re two in our brain.

Best Of ØCTØBER

Here it is! He’s backt! The monthly Best Of! A selection of the 15 best tracks released during the previous month. The best of what DJs and producers gave us in deep house, house, electro.
We try to rank them from the best to the very best but, of course, this is a totally subjective ranking.
So why don’t you tell us what are the best tracks released in October according to you? Feel free to comment!

We can see that our 3 bests DJs are LCAW, Faul and Kungs.
On the third place stands LCAW thanks to his remix of Sometimes (which he really released as a full track only in November…). We love and support LCAW because we think he has the potential to grow and go so far. Berlin, Ocean and now Paradise Awaits, no doubt he will keep on bringing us amazing remix. Next challenge would to produce his own sound…

Faul is on the second place. He is now famous worldwide thanks to Barkermat who totally put Changes under the spotlight but also thanks to his talent of course. He can play with the saxophone and the vocals so well and make brilliant melodies. With Something New he proved us he could do more and something a bit different from Changes.

Finally on the first place, is Kungs. We’ve been supporting this young French DJ from the beggining. He just celebrated his first DJ birthday and went so far in only one year. It’s crazy how fast he improved his style. He always manage to find a new way to surprise and we have rarely been disappointed by his remix. Money On My Mind, Jammin, Candy, all of them are just sick tunes! It is just so sad he doesn’t have the audience or the support he deserves. Will the one that we call the French Kygo be noticed by producers or radios one day?

Benjamindaydreams – One Month (Miskeyz Remix)

It will never be said enough but France has got some precious gem in the electro world. Problem is France doesn’t seem to realise it. We try to help them, pointing out the talent they got before they run away and move to other foreign music label.
Anyway, today we’re talking about Miskeyz. To be honest, I didn’t know him before. He’s from the great city of Lyon. Yesterday he released this little sunshine in the middle of our autumn. A remix of One Month by Benjamindaydreams, who is – what a surprise – another nice French artist from Poitiers. You can check the original song. It is more a mix of indie electro pop sound (remember The Naked and Famous?).It’s
Miskeyz slowed down the song. The sing as an echo. We’re closer to the traditional deep house 120 bpm. It’s not amazing ok, but it still nice to hear. Less agressive than the original, Miskeyz plays the dreamy touch and assumes it with some soft drums and chill guitar melodies in the background.
