GAMPER & DADONI feat. Paul Cook & The Chronicles – Blind Faith

Gamper & Dadoni are back! We might not follow them with a blind faith (title of the new track, got it?) but it’s almost like this with them. Although they didn’t win our heart with their last work on MJB or the Red Hot, we will never deny them. We’ve been too much in love with songs like Bulletproof or The La La La Remix to forget them and that’s why we kept an eye on them.
And we did well! The German duo seems to kick off 2015 with a great start! This collaboration with Paul Cook & The Chronicles is a little jewel! It’s fresh and really promising. The vocals are really nice, they sure made a good choice there. The guitar melody just goes all along with the classic G&D piano. A melancholic touch that totally has its place there and dynamised by a classic low beats.

The trap might be there, too classic? Gamper & Dadoni use the recipies that helped them to make great tunes to create new ones. It’s nice because it still work but maybe we would like to see something really new from them.

Best Of ØCTØBER

Here it is! He’s backt! The monthly Best Of! A selection of the 15 best tracks released during the previous month. The best of what DJs and producers gave us in deep house, house, electro.
We try to rank them from the best to the very best but, of course, this is a totally subjective ranking.
So why don’t you tell us what are the best tracks released in October according to you? Feel free to comment!
https://soundcloud.com/intothedeepblog/sets/best-of-ct-sser
We can see that our 3 bests DJs are LCAW, Faul and Kungs.
On the third place stands LCAW thanks to his remix of Sometimes (which he really released as a full track only in November…). We love and support LCAW because we think he has the potential to grow and go so far. Berlin, Ocean and now Paradise Awaits, no doubt he will keep on bringing us amazing remix. Next challenge would to produce his own sound…

Faul is on the second place. He is now famous worldwide thanks to Barkermat who totally put Changes under the spotlight but also thanks to his talent of course. He can play with the saxophone and the vocals so well and make brilliant melodies. With Something New he proved us he could do more and something a bit different from Changes.

Finally on the first place, is Kungs. We’ve been supporting this young French DJ from the beggining. He just celebrated his first DJ birthday and went so far in only one year. It’s crazy how fast he improved his style. He always manage to find a new way to surprise and we have rarely been disappointed by his remix. Money On My Mind, Jammin, Candy, all of them are just sick tunes! It is just so sad he doesn’t have the audience or the support he deserves. Will the one that we call the French Kygo be noticed by producers or radios one day?

Lana Del Rey – West Coast (James Vincent McMorrow Cover) [Berger & Shaqiri Edit]

I definitely should do a top of the best Lana Del Rey remixes. There must be a new remix of one of her songs coming up every hour in the world. It’s crazy. Good thing is among this uncountable amount of remixes, there are a few good ones and we try to find some original ones.
We find Berger & Shaqiri and… It’s a match!
Two not-so-famous-yet DJ from Cologne, Germany. Their good choice was James Vincent McMorrow. It rings a bell to you? Of course, the singer does cover of a lot of hit songs and DJs do remixes of a lot of his covers! Remember Higher Love remixed by C-Ro or by Matoma and Cavalier remixed by Samuraii. So yeah, James is a good vocal base for a remix.
But what we like here is the rythm of the song. The beggining is classic with James singing the first part of the song on a slow rythm but then it all breaks with an electro drum set and the voice of James remixed with a repeated “like it all could happen” (or something close to that). This truly gives the song another rythm and another structure. It’s not just a faster or slower version of West Coast, there is something more and that’s what makes a good remix!

Parra for Cuva – Champa (feat. Monsoonsiren)

We’ve been missing Parra for Cuva! That’s why we are so happy to find him back with a brand new album. It might be only released on December but the great DJ just gave us a small taste of it with a brand new track Champa.
It announces a very promising album because this song is really nice. You find back the style of Parra for Cuva. A dreamy melody, so light that you could almost see it fly in the air. It’s pure poesy. The German musician knows how to set his very own atmosphere. Listenning to Parre for Cuva is like being in a comfortable bubble of dreams and hopes without really realising it. You’re here, you feel good, you’re flying, you’re dreaming. No doubt this DJ is a master in this kind of sound.
When suddenly the music ends, you wake up and you wonder if what happened was real.

ZHU – Paradise Awaits (LCAW Remix)

Into the Deep love LCAW. We’ve been following him for a year now and never have been disppointed by this German DJ from Munich. Whether it was for Ocean, The Sun or Run, he knows how to make you dance. He kind of developped a good sense of marketing. I mean, he releases an extract of an upcoming new remix, let the suspense grow during one month to finally drop the full song. And then, a day later he releases another remix, just like that. Two in a row. LCAW is driving us crazy.
This time he chose to remix ZHU. A nice choise, ZHU is a new electro-house DJ who released his/her/their first tracks this year and it’s really promising for the future.
Paradise Awaits is already an electro sound. However, LCAW manages to bring his own deep touch to make this house tune sound deep. Yeah deep, house, deep house, you got me? The vocals are a bit faster in this version but they really suit LCAW melody. A sound based on some nice chill beats and a shy piano. Another great track for LCAW in the end!

A free download link should come soon.

Mark Tarmonea – When Doves Cry

Just discovered Mark Tarmonea and this German guy from Munich looks pretty impressive. Not only he is a producer and DJ but he also plays the instruments and sings the vocals of his remix. And you know what, he seems quite good in all of these fields. He’s his own orchestra.
He decided to take When Doves Cry. It’s not one of Prince’s most famous hit and this makes it an original choice. Also perfectly in time with the come back of this royal pop singer.
It starts with these deep electro drum beats. Really cool and reminded me of the beggining of Sky And Sand by Paul Kalkbrenner. Quickly, a tropical touch invites itself giving colours and rythm to the tune. The piano accompany the voice of Mark. And what a voice. The guy is a good singer! Sexy and deep enough so that it gives a soul sound to the track. It also totally suits for a cover a Prince. When comes the chorus you really feel it and it’s obvious. The whole set of instruments play together in a perfect harmony.
The worse is that Mark says it’s only a first version and he’s still working on it. We’re ok with him making it better but we really don’t know how he can. It’s already brilliant!
Perfect track. Mark Tarmonea know how to play and use all of his musical skills and the result is great. We gotta keep an eye on this boy!

Jaymes Young – One Last Time (Felix Jaehn feat. Chris Meid Remix)

I can’t stop. Everywhere. It’s coming frome everywhere. New song, new hit, new crush!
This post will be also used to fix a mistake: I never wrote about Felix Jaehn despite listenning to several of his great tracks!
So here we are.
Felix just released this remix of One Last Time by Jaymes Young. As soon as it started playing, I knew I would love that song! Every ingredients are gathered to seduce me: this little shy guitar that gives a romantic touch, the tropical piano, discret but still there, and a beautiful voice. In the background, voices like an echo add a dreamy side to the song.
And then BIM! Felix drops the beats! I love the rythm it gives to the song! Genius!
A song alternating between soft calm break and punchy dreamy chorus! Brilliant!

Alle Farben – Sometimes Feat. Graham Candy (LCAW Remix)

It feels like going back to school (or not) is an excellent drug for our young DJs! They are on fire and can’t help but releasing new hits nearly everdyday. An illustration with the German DJ LCAW who released the really good Ocean a week ago and who now offers us Sometimes a new remix of Alle Farben.
And if some DJ try to release the most of singles they can without paying attention to quality, it’s not the case of LCAW. This remix is excellent. Graham Candy had shown he had a perfect voice for this kind of music and this song proves it again. The melody is nice, deep and growing all along to reach the chorus. A chorus which explodes after an electric silver piano with the powerful voice of Graham Candy.

Unfortunately this is only a preview of LCAW’s work, but it should be out soon he said!

[EDIT]

Finally! After one month, LCAW finally decided to drop his track! Of course we’re not disappointed at all! Same things here, the chorus coming up slowly, raising up to reach a peak where it explodes with the voice of Graham Candy. No big surprise but it’s always better when you can make the pleasure last!

Andreas Moe – Ocean (LCAW Remix)

German DJ LCAW already showed us he got talent with some previous hit such as Berlin or recently The Sun. With this remix, we come back to a folk style. The acoustic rythmic guitar is really trendy at the time. Maybe the last summer feelings are still here with some memories of people playing around a fire camp on the beach.
Anyway. LCAW remixed Ocean a song originally sung by Andreas Moe, a talented Swedish guitarist and singer. LCAW sets up the frame right at the begining. Cool and deep beats with a shy guitar. The vocals are beautiful and really enhanced by the DJ music. The whole thing starts slowly and grows little by little. But it never explode. That’s the thing. LCAW keeps on this perticular point where you want to go higher and higher to explode. It’s all based on this need, this lack of something. It’s this frustration that makes it all sounds so beautiful.
Beautiful use of the trumpets I shall say. People are tired of saxophone and DJ have to learn how to use trumpets in a good way. This one is a good example.
Andreas Moe’s voice is sublime and LCAW’s beats suit it perfectly. It’s a match!

Best Of July

The Best Of July (a bit late again) is here! A lot of chilly tunes are there. Don’t know if it’s my mood or maybe just because I feel like it’s the kind of songs I like to listen to imagining I’m travelling away or chilling on the beach! Enjoy and don’t hesitate to tell me what would you have put in this Best Of in the comments section!
